Prospectus design and print for the September admissions cycle
Elmwood Sixth Form competes with two colleges and a school sixth form for the same sixteen-year-olds, and its old prospectus read like a policy document. Students told staff they had never opened it. We rewrote and redesigned it from scratch for the September admissions cycle: shorter, clearer, built around real students and real subjects, and printed on paper that feels worth keeping on the kitchen table.
Services
We ran two short workshops with current Year 12s to find out what they had wanted to know when they chose Elmwood. The answers were practical: which subjects run well together, how big the classes are, what happens in a free period. The new prospectus answers those questions in plain language on the first few pages, with course details and entry requirements moved to a clear reference section at the back.
The design uses one typeface, generous white space and full-page photography from our own shoot at the sixth form. We managed the print run from proofs to delivery, choosing an uncoated stock and a soft-touch cover that makes it feel different from every other prospectus on the pile. A matching digital version went live on the website the same week, with every course page linked.
