Riverside Trust case study
Documentary following students through a year of alternative provision
Trust-wide recruitment film for a staff hiring campaign
Kingsley Trust has eleven schools across two counties and, like most trusts, finds some roles hard to fill. Its job adverts listed the benefits but said little about what it is actually like to work there. The trust asked us for a recruitment film that teachers would share with each other, not just scroll past. We met staff at five schools, listened to why they stayed, and built the film around their answers rather than a script.
Services
We interviewed fourteen members of staff, from an early career teacher in her first term to a head of department with twenty years at the trust. Nobody was handed lines. We asked what a good Tuesday looks like, what support they get when a Tuesday goes badly, and why they have not left. Their answers were honest, sometimes funny, and far more persuasive than any list of benefits.
Alongside the main two-minute film we cut short edits by subject and by phase, so the trust can run a maths advert in January and a primary advert in May without coming back to us. We also supplied a set of stills for job boards and LinkedIn. Everything shares one look, so a candidate who sees the trust in three different places starts to recognise it, and remembers it when a role comes up.
