Always-on social content and a photography retainer
Oakwood Primary had an Instagram account and a Facebook page that the office team updated when they had a spare moment, which was rarely. Parents loved the posts that did go up, but weeks could pass between them. We now run both channels on a monthly retainer: a content calendar agreed each half term, a photography visit every month, and short films of the moments parents never usually get to see.
Services
At the start of each half term we sit down with the head and the office manager and map out what is coming up: trips, performances, themed weeks and the things parents keep asking about. That becomes a calendar of posts, with room left for the unexpected. The office team approve everything in one place, nothing goes out without their say, and nobody has to find time to write a caption at half past four on a Friday.
Once a month we spend a morning in school filming and photographing whatever is on that week, from a Year 5 music lesson to the reception class planting potatoes. We turn it into short vertical films and photo sets, captioned so they make sense with the sound off. Consent is checked against the school's list before anything is posted, and pupils without consent are never shown.
